She is the lead EE on FIRM IV and is responsible for the controls, power, and live video subsystems of the project. She is passionate about the intersection between the natural environment and technology and making the world a better place for generations to come. In FIRM IV, he is one of three ME students working on the buoyancy, motion, and trash intake components of the project. Colt is also majoring in Appropriate &amp; Sustainable Engineering, a degree specific to SPU. This degree and its coursework have interested Colt in renewable energy generation technology and a desire to understand the impacts engineering can have on our environment. In FIRM IV, he is one of three ME students working on the buoyancy, motion, and trash intake components of the project. Andrew is also majoring in Appropriate &amp; Sustainable Engineering and Honors Liberal. He is passionate about the intersection between social justice, climate change, medical accessibility, and sustainability. His hobbies include hiking, climbing, camping, and other adventurous outdoor activities. In FIRM IV, he is one of three ME students working on the buoyancy, motion, and trash intake components of the project. Due to his hobbies of hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities he hopes to use his degree to address issues of environmental degradation and be a steward for a green future. His main interests are in alternative energy systems, sustainability, and pollution reduction.
