Complex mechanical and electrical engineering work went into building the ABVE. Learn more about our design considerations and developments throughout the project.
Mechanical Design
- Designing the truss and suspension bridge models
- Study of the velocity profile of our fan
- Constructing the support structure and electrical housing

Electrical Design
- A function generator connected to an audio amplifier that creates vibrations between two speakers
- Calibrating and receiving data from the force sensors
- 12V power supply powering the electrical system with an in-line fuse to prevent overcurrent issues.
- Powerful Waveshare ESP32-S3 microcontroller
