Journal #9

One of the comments I have received a couple times is about the specificity of my introduction paragraphs. Throughout this course I have learned of better ways to format my intro paragraphs to provide context and set up my paper in a way that initiates reader comprehension. This has definitely shown up in the drafting part of my essay, by using this suggestion I have been able to concentrate my claim in such a way that provides enough information about my claim without sacrificing relevancy.  Another comment that has shown up a few times this quarter is regarding under explaining. I tend to leave things vague or not connect my points in an effective way, which is still an aspect of writing I need to work on. I find myself still writing in the same disjointed way during first drafts, but going back and changing them in revision. The biggest problem for me with this next revision will probably be creating meaningful ways to correlate and explain the essays I am synthesizing without being redundant, but explaining my thoughts clearly.
