Meet the Team

Abdul Algusayer

I am a passionate EE student who cannot wait to graduate from school and begin helping people by finding a way to provide them with clean renewable energy that they can rely on. Because I believe that electrical energy is essential for life, and it should be available and affordable to everyone; I was extremely excited when I learned about Pallet Shelter and their project of fostering homeless community. I hope that my academic knowledge combined with my skills and passion will help me achieve my goal of improving people’s lives and making electrical energy available to everyone.

Chloe Moore

I am currently a 4th year studying Mechanical Engineering. I am self-motivated and show excellent skills of leadership. I am super passionate when it comes to the environment, renewable energy which inspired me to be studying what I am today. Growing up in Seattle, I have seen how serious homelessness is here. With the Green Home and my passion for sustainability, I hope that we are able to bring a sense of autonomy to homeless communities in order to help improve the personal lives of those who live within homeless shelters.

Luke Ahlquist

I am a 4th year student studying Mechanical Engineering. I have always been passionate about the great outdoors since I was a kid visiting the forests of Montana. Since then, I have loved going outside to hike, ski, or stare at the mountains and sky where light pollution does not exist. My love for the outdoors fostered an interest in creating a career in the outdoor or sustainable industries through mechanical engineering. I hope to use the skills and knowledge I have learned from the past three years at SPU to help those who are experiencing homelessness build a better life with more autonomy.

Deborah Tambunan

I am currently a senior year student at Seattle Pacific University majoring in Electrical Engineering. I have always been passionate in sustainability, energy and environment, hence why I am majoring in Electrical Engineering because I want to be able to contribute in the improvement of technologies to allow the society’s to efficiently and intelligently manage energy as well as power consumption throughout its life cycles. With the Green Home project, I hope to provide useful knowledge and skills in helping to building a sustainable green house with efficient power consumption for a reliable, yet affordable way of independently growing food for the homeless communities.
