2023 Open Education Week Celebration at SPU
International Open Education (OE) Week is here at SPU! ETM and the Library are hosting an OE event (a conversation on open and affordable textbooks) to celebrate the open education efforts at SPU.
As part of the celebration at SPU, ETM’s associate director, Dr. Grace Seo, presented her recently completed dissertation research: Sustaining Open Educational Resources (OER) initiatives in higher education: practices, successes, and challenges.
Check out this research brief for a summary of the key takeaways from the research study.

OER Efforts at SPU
Many open education efforts have been made by the SPU library, faculty members, and ETM in the past and present years. Check out the SPU OER Guide for a sampling of OER efforts from 2013 to the present.
We provided both in-person and online options for people to join the event. Below is the recording for the online portion. The topics cover the dissertation research on sustaining OER initiatives, OER and theology, and OER work at SPU.
