Students Organize Sit-In in Demaray Hall

Students begin occupying the 2nd floor of Demaray Hall outside the President’s office. They send a letter to Board Chair Cedric Davis which asks for the resignation of all board members who voted to maintain the policy, arguing that “they do not represent us.” In a follow-up post to Instagram on May 25, 2022, they demand that 1) the Board reveal how each member voted, 2) trustees who voted to change the conduct policy “publicly condemn their homophobic colleagues,” and 3) trustees who voted to maintain the conduct policy resign.
